When do the activities take place?

All Slough Children’s University (SCU) activities take place:

  • before school;

  • at lunchtimes;

  • after school;

  • at weekends;

  • during school holidays.

What do I get for taking part?

 Everyone who completes a SCU activity gets credits towards hours completed in their CU Passport. At the end of the academic year there will be a graduation ceremony where depending on how many hours you have collected throughout the year you will be awarded a National CU Certificate of recognition. See table below.

  •  Bronze – 30 hours in total

  •  Silver – 65 hours in total

  •  Gold – 100 hours in total

 

Which clubs or activities can I attend out of school hours?

Please see the list of Public Learning Destinations in Slough.

 Also if you are travelling out of Slough check the website  www.childrensuniversity.co.uk
 for any learning destinations you may be able to visit.

How old do I have to be to participate in the activities?

If you are between 5 and 14years of age you can participate in Slough CU activities.

 

How can I find out if my school is participating in Slough CU?

Please check the list of Participating schools.

What happens to the hours I have collected?

 At the end of school years all hours will be calculated by your school. Your school will then invite you to a graduation ceremony where depending on how many hours you have collected, you will receive a National CU Award certificate.
