When do the activities take place?

All Slough Children’s University (SCU) activities take place:

  • before school;

  • at lunchtimes;

  • after school;

  • at weekends;

  • during school holidays.

What do I get for taking part?

 Everyone who completes a SCU activity gets credits towards hours completed. At the end of the academic year there will be a graduation ceremony where depending on how many hours you have collected throughout the year you will be awarded a National CU Certificate of recognition. See table below.

  •  Bronze – 30 hours in total

  •  Silver – 65 hours in total

  •  Gold – 100 hours in total


Which clubs or activities can I attend out of school hours?

 for any learning destinations you may be able to visit.

How old do I have to be to participate in the activities?

If you are between 5 and 14years of age you can participate in Slough CU activities.


How can I find out if my school is participating in Slough CU?

Please check the list of Participating schools.

What happens to the hours I have collected?

 At the end of school years all hours will be calculated by your school. Your school will then invite you to a graduation ceremony where depending on how many hours you have collected, you will receive a National CU Award certificate.
